From the recording O Sentido do Amor

I have known Marcio and Renato for most of my life. They have written together many great songs and I consider their partnership to be one of the most fortuitous in the universe of Brazilian music, a perfect combination of melody and poetry. I felt this song had been written for me to sing and recorded it in Goiania at the SetUp Music studio with awesome local musicians, with whom I played with decades ago. What a wonderful experience to share music time again with Bororo'Felipe and Marcio Veiga, while immersed in the great lyrics of Renato Castelo. To my contentment, Foka and Ricardo de Pina added new blood to the mix. All in all, one of my favorite tracks in the album, a soft, moody and jazzy bossa-nova that thrilled us - like in the old times. Jairo Reis was the sound engineer.

Lyrics

Translation:
I take away from meThe embrace, the kissThe scent of loveI take away from me the stainOn the skin, on the soulThis scent of flowersI tear me up with nails and teethAnd take out the seedsYou’ve planted in meI break and burn this affairTurning into ashesAshes from the startI cloud up the clarity Of the colorless wineI pour myself into nothingnessAnd continue on my wayAlone I return to pain I am the woman who grievesI am the one who leavesI am who has never lostThe meaning of love. You have. Goodbye!
