  1. Mar Azul

From the recording Mar Azul

Recorded at the SetUp Music Studio in Goiania, Brazil, this song was a sequel to Sonho Azul, written in 1966 by Teca Hezim and I, recorded in the album Voyage to Vera Cruz, with Douglas Lora. This time, the melody is my own, with lyrics by Renato Castelo. An amazing addition of Jairo Reis on electric guitar put the icing on the cake of this inspired song arrangement by Bororó Felipe, master arranger and player.

Lyrics

Translation:
I wonder if the sea That now stares at meKnows of the other  Endless seaWe create wherein to sailNot getting lost nor anchoringI wonder if this horizonIs the same one I was dreaming ofWhen I invented a Blue DreamAnd that white cloud passing byI wrote about it, and it never returned. I wonder if in these eyes that look at meA light still burnsIt hasn’t dimmed, and I know whyA Blue Sea awaits me.
